The ceremony was witnessed by Mr Lan Tianli, Governor of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Mr Nurul Ichwan, Deputy Minister of Investment and Downstream Industry/BKPM of Indonesia.
The signing marks the beginning of the strategic cooperation on the potential development opportunities of the Johannesburg Water Supply Project.
Johannesburg Water Supply Project has been included in the government’s PPP project plan. It is located in Bekasi, West Java, Indonesia. The Project includes the building of a new water supply plant with treatment capacity of 6295 L/s, about 550,000 tons/day; 7 new water storage stations; and the installation of a new water pipelines with a total length of 2720 km. When completed, nearly a population of 2 million people will benefit from the supply of high quality, tapped water.
